As cold days and nights come, you too will like to reach for a warm and comfortable blanket. This is the perfect time to make tea and wrap yourself in a beautiful and soft blanket. We have prepared for you a few lines dedicated to blankets, which you will find in our e-shop. There are various types of blankets on our market, from classic ones made of cotton, fleece, acrylic, microfiber, or the popular so-called blankets with lamb and many other materials. The blankets are offered in a wide range of sizes, from the smallest for children to dimensions ending somewhere at 220x240cm. Last but not least, they are also a wide range of patterns of various motifs, as well as one-color designs.
The most fundamental difference compared to other blanket materials is that cotton, wool blankets are heavier and rougher at first glance. These blankets are also priced elsewhere, ie more expensive mainly due to material and production. We know them mostly from our old mothers, when these blankets were quite popular, as they were often given, for example, as a gift at the birth of a baby, and therefore they were as large as baby blankets. They hold warm heat and, of course, were unique in their design. The initial "roughness" of the blanket will pass away over time and the blankets will last a very long time.
The fleece blanket is still popular. Not only can you pack comfortably in it, but you can also use it as a bedspread or as a picnic blanket. Fleece blankets have a number of advantages, one of which is their softness, lightness and, last but not least, good thermoregulatory abilities. The basic material at present is polyester and therefore these blankets are also very affordable, with various sizes and patterns on offer. They are easy to maintain.
They are made of man-made fibers, more precisely of microfibers, so they are a great choice for allergy sufferers. The great advantage of these blankets is their softness, color fastness and easy maintenance. Unlike natural materials like wool, you don't have to worry that the blanket will "bite" or be soft to the touch. These blankets are extremely light and feel very thin, but it is extremely durable and breathable. If you are a person who does not like too hot, or such a typical twist in a blanket, then this blanket is the right choice for you. If the room temperature is normal, it will sleep very well under it. Also on hot nights. For the colder ones, you should choose something else, such as an acrylic blanket. However, if you prefer to sleep in a room with a slightly lower temperature, this blanket is perfect for you. Easy maintenance predestines it for use and with these blankets the predominantly one-color combination predominates. Nowadays, microfiber blankets made with, for example, a jacquard pattern are quite common, and thus acquire a "better appearance".
These blankets are currently among the best-selling blankets. The incredible number of designs and dimensions directly predispose them to this. Last but not least, their quality. At first glance, they are indistinguishable from microfiber blankets, but you can tell the difference at the first touch. Acrylic blankets are much thicker and heavier, while they do not "slip". Due to their higher weight, they are also preferred as blankets for the night, as they "hold well" on you and retain warmth. For the real "winter-loving" there are blankets, which we like to call blankets with a lamb. You get exactly two in one blanket. On the one hand, a classic acrylic blanket in any motif and on the other hand, a layer of imitation "lamb".
How to care for blankets?
For many, a quality blanket is a necessary part of home textiles in the living room, especially during winter evenings. So is it possible to wash these blankets? At present, all types of blankets can be washed, but with careful observation of maintenance recommendations. First of all, we should ventilate the blanket, regularly. Only then does cleaning have the main say. This time, however, avoid regularity. To prevent the blanket from changing its warming and breathability properties, do not wash it more than once every 3-4 months. Washing does not harm synthetic fibers in principle. The opposite example is wool. How you wash the blanket will affect its heat-insulating properties. The principle is that when washing, softeners, fabric softeners, bleach and high water temperature have a stem. The washing cycle should have 400, a maximum of 600 revolutions and a maximum temperature of 30 ° C, you can wash some polyester blankets even at higher temperatures. Emphasis is also placed on drying the blanket, so avoid direct sunlight and especially radiators. Today's popular drying in the dryer is not always suitable, it depends on the specific blanket and material, so labels must be strictly adhered to in this method of drying.
